				Installed onto a new or existing hoist at the ropes dead end or equalizer sheave, this load limit switch provides safe, effective, economical overload protection for single or two speed hoists. Installation is simple and quick as it is clamped onto the wire rope without the need to cut the rope or make modifications to the hoist. Our overload switches work by detecting the weight being lifted by the hoist and may be used in one of two ways: Load Limit - in the case of an overload, the rope will stretch activating the switch to stop the hoists upward motion. Slack Rope Limit - in the case of a slack rope, the lack of tension will activate the switch to stop the hoists downward motion.
	One model covers most applications and takes up only 5" of headroom. These Load Limiters are available for all wire rope hoists with ropes of up to 3/4" diameter. Saf-Lift offers the following attributes: Prevents overloads for all Wire Rope Hoists up to 3/4 in. dia. rope Takes only 5 in. headroom Factory preset to required rope tension No motion takes place until trip point is reached To reset switch overload must be removed from the crane hook Aluminum and stainless steel components to resist rust and corrosion Installed easily and quickly without disturbing hoist wire type Cuts off power to hoist "up" motion and/or gives audible or visual signal of attempt to overload Load Limit (Per Single Line) is 5 Tons
