Description Solid state air conditioning provides on demand thermoelectric cooling/heating protection for use in harsh industrial settings. They offer a number of distinct benefits over CFC-Based compressor systems including: Example Applications Theory of Operation The underlying technology that permits construction of these thermoelectric cooling systems is known as "The Peltier Effect". It utilizes two elements of a semi-conductor which is constructed from doped Bismuth Telluride. Upon application of a direct current (DC) power source, these devices generate a cooling action, countered by a generation of heat on the opposite side of the device. Through proper packaging, the cooling properties of these devices are harnessed into a modular cooling product that can dissipate typical loads of 400, 800 or 1500 BTU/HR. |
