Industrial Cooling and Heating Systems
Solid State Air Conditioners
400 BTU/HR Solid Sate Air Conditioner

800 BTU/HR Solid State Air Conditioner

1500 BTU/HR Solid State Air Conditioner
  Description

Solid state air conditioning provides on demand thermoelectric cooling/heating protection for use in harsh industrial settings. They offer a number of distinct benefits over CFC-Based compressor systems including:
  • No harmful CFC's to leak or to be periodically replenished
  • Unit can be installed in any orientation
  • High reliability
  • Low noise, vibration and maintenance
  • Compact in size and weight
  • Low power requirements
  • Nema 12 and 4X configurations
  • Available in 400, 800 and 1500 BTU/HR models
  • Custom design available

  • Example Applications

  • Steel Mills
  • Foundries
  • Chemical Plants
  • Paper Mills
  • Automotive Industry
  • Outdoor Environments

  • Theory of Operation

The underlying technology that permits construction of these thermoelectric cooling systems is known as "The Peltier Effect". It utilizes two elements of a semi-conductor which is constructed from doped Bismuth Telluride. Upon application of a direct current (DC) power source, these devices generate a cooling action, countered by a generation of heat on the opposite side of the device. Through proper packaging, the cooling properties of these devices are harnessed into a modular cooling product that can dissipate typical loads of 400, 800 or 1500 BTU/HR.

    Strip Heaters
    Strip Heaters
  • 5 1/2" to 50" long
  • 3/8" thick by 1 1/2" wide
  • magnesium oxide filled (MgO)
  • MgO compacted to rock hardness
  • optional metal terminal boxes
  • optional ceramic terminal covers

  • Thermostat for strip heater
    Thermostat
These strip heaters can incorporate a thermostat control for regulating the temperature. Many models are available to suit your needs - contact us for details.

The control panel thermostat illustrated on the left has proven to be popular. It opens at 45°F and closes at 35°F. The 12" lead wires are rated at 105°F.

We would be happy to assist you with your applications. For further information please contact us at info@ipandc.com
