Series T SAF-T-BAR (65 Amps - 200 Amps)

Series T SAF-T-BAR (65 Amps - 200 Amps)

Series T conductors are fabricated from galvanized steel rated at 65 amperes or electrolytic copper rated at 200 amperes. Insulating covers are rigid PVC extrusions rated at 160°F operating temperature or Lexan extrusions rated at 260°F. Both materials are self-extinguishing. Conductor bars are supplied in 10' lengths, complete with insulating cover and joint fittings.

Features:

Two internal contact grooves provide for optimal collector tracking
High amperage capacity:weight ratio
Twin shoes of the collector, sprung back to back in the conductor rail, assures proper contact alignment in any plane
Compact Dimensions for efficient use of space
Modular Design facilitates multiple conductors mountable in various combinations
Skin-Tight Insulation runs cooler and will not deform under clamp pressure
Slide-on or snap-on joint clips for rapid installation
Break-away collector "tag lines" are rated to 15 lbs max shock load to ensure damage to conductor rail is minimized in the event of catastrophic mechanical failure of material handling systems

Series C SAF-T-BAR (100 Amps - 350 Amps)

Series C SAF-T-BAR (100 Amps - 350 Amps)

Series C energy supply systems are suitable for cranes, conveyors, hoists, monorails, automated storage and retrieval systems and other electrification applications that have current requirements from 100 Amps to 350 Amps.

The Series C Conductor can be mounted in any plane. In wet and icy atmospheres, the system can be shielded with a protective hood. In dirty and dusty atmospheres, mount the conductor in downturn position. Insulating cover furnished as standard is orange rigid PVC extrusion, with 160°F heat distortion point, self-extinguishing. High heat cover furnished when specified, is red Lexan extrusion, 260°F heat distortion, self-extinguishing. An extra high heat fiberglass cover is available, 375°F heat distortion.

Series C SAF-T-BAR is supplied in 10 ft. lengths assembled complete with insulating cover and joint fittings. Amperage ratings are based on continuous service with a 30° C rise. Higher ratings available by increasing temperature rise and using high heat covers.

Features:

Metal
Guideways (not plastic) assure positive tracking of the collector shoe.
The collector tracks with or without insulating cover unlike conventional 8-bar systems
Flat Contact Surface for long conductor wear and greatest possible sliding contact area
The self-lubricating contact shoe is fabricated from sintered copper for effective current draw to the conductor bar
Skin Tight Insulation runs cooler and will not deform under clamp pressure
Conductor can be mounted in the vertical or horizontal position without special parts or fittings
Pantograph spring suspension yields even pressure to the collector shoe, providing maximum electrical and mechanical performance

Series J SAF-T-BAR (400 Amps - 500 Amps)

Series J SAF-T-BAR (400 Amps - 500 Amps)

The Series J Conductor can be mounted in any plane. In wet atmospheres the system should be mounted on spool insulators with the conductor in the downturn position. In dirty and dusty atmospheres, mount the conductor in the downturn position. If the atmosphere is likely to cause electrical over surface tracking, choose the spool type hanger clamps rather than the standard coated hanger clamp. Conductors are supported on brackets on 5 ft. to 7-1/2 ft. centers for all crane conductor positions. Series J Conductors are supplied in 20' lengths, assembled complete with insulating covers. Other lengths are available. Joint fittings and covers are to be ordered separately.

Features:

Metal Guideways assure tracking of collector shoe with or without insulating cover
Flat Contact Stainless Steel Insert for long conductor wear and superior resistance to corrosion or pitting
Self Lubricating Contact Shoe with flat contact surface fabricated from sintered copper and graphite for effective current draw to the conductor
Skin Tight Insulation runs cooler and will not deform under clamp pressure
Standard insulation is rated for 160°F. High temperature insulation rated to 260°F is also available
Compact Mounting of conductor in vertical or horizontal position without special parts for fittings
Collectors are available in either single head, dual head or heat sink configurations
Bolted Joint Construction produces a solid, rigid, continuous conductor

Series H SAF-T-BAR (500 Amps - 1500 amps)

Series H conductors can be mounted in any plane. In wet atmospheres the system should be mounted on spool insulators with the conductor in the downturn position. In dirty and dusty atmospheres mount the conductor in the downturn position. If the atmosphere is likely to cause electrical over surface tracking, choose the spool type hanger clamps rather than the standard coated hanger clamp. A Lexan slide-on insulating hanger is available to replace coated or spool type hangers. Conductors are supported on brackets on 10 ft. centers for all crane conductor positions. Series H conductors are supplied in 20 ft. lengths assembled complete with insulating covers.
